Baneasa Forest Run
Băneasa Forest Run is a story that began on April 29, 2018, when the first edition brought together 700 runners eager to discover the joy of movement in the city forest. In just a few years, the race grew organically and authentically, reaching over 2,400 participants today and becoming the largest running event in the Băneasa Forest — a 100% trail run.
The competition includes three competitive races and one non-competitive event, so every runner can find their own rhythm and the challenge that suits them. The half marathon is dedicated to those who want to test their endurance over two laps of the course. The 11 km race offers the perfect balance between effort and the pleasure of running in nature. The 6 km race is designed for those who want to run fast and intense or take the first steps toward longer competitions. And the Family Run remains the popular, non-competitive lap where movement becomes quality time together, with parents and children sharing the same course and the same joy.
Băneasa Forest Run is not just about running — it’s about community. It’s the place where people come to move, but also to meet, reconnect, socialize, and rediscover the pleasure of running without pressure. It’s an urban experience with a nature-driven spirit, an event where effort naturally blends with smiles, and where the passion for sport brings people together year after year.
