Denisa Dragomir este o alergatoare montana de succes. Are in palmares trei medalii de bronz la Campionatele Mondiale de Alergare Montana pe distanta lunga (individual si doua cu echipa). Le-a cucerit in 2017 si 2018. 2017 a fost cel mai bun an al sau. 2019 e hotarat sa il depaseasca insa pe „fratele” lui mai mic. 14 din cei 26 de ani impliniti in luna august i-a dedicat alergarii. A muncit si munceste enorm. O face insa cu placere si se simte implinita.
Denisa Dragomir a castigat pe 9 septembrie International Veia Sky Race pentru a patra oara consecutiv.
O discutie cu Denisa Dragomir este tot timpul placuta. Denisa e zambet si ambitie, e modestie si performanta, e munca si valoare. „Daca stau bine si ma gandesc rezultatelele mele de pana acum sunt 80 la suta munca, 10 la suta talent si 10 la suta noroc. Trebuie sa ai si dramul acela de noroc. Dar nu poti sa te asezi la start doar bazandu-te pe noroc”, spune Denisa.
Discutia se poarta intr-o dupa amiaza de sambata. Sportiva nascuta in Berevoiesti, Arges, se afla intre doua curse. Vineri, pe 7 septembrie, a luat locul 3 in proba de VERTICAL de la International Veia Sky Race (3,4 km cu 1800 de metri diferenta de nivel). Duminica, pe 9 septembrie, urma sa participe la cursa lunga: 31 de kilometri, cu 2.600 de metri diferenta de nivel. A castigat-o. Si nu oricum. Cu nou record: 3.23.27. Este pentru a patra oara consecutiv cand Denisa Dragomir castiga acolo: 2015, 2016, 2017 si 2018. Succesul vine la doar o saptamana dupa o alta cursa castigata cu record: Rosetta Sky Race (24 de kilometri, cu 1.800 metri diferenta de nivel). A oprit cronometrul dupa 2 ore, 30 de minute si 39 de secunde.„De 4 ani fac naveta Romania-Italia. Ma simt excelent aici, ca acasa. Oamenii sunt foarte ok cu tine. Cel mai mult imi place ca toti sunt implicati. Citesc informatii din ziare, stiu rezultate, stiu sportivi. Ma opresc pe strada si imi ureaza succes si ma incurajeaza. Organizatorii sunt si ei foarte implicati”.
Denisa Dragomir: „Acum spun ca nu ma retrag pana nu castig titlul mondial…”
Ambitia si Mirabela, verisoara ei, au „impins-o” pe Denisa spre alergare. Isi aminteste si acum primul concurs din viata ei. „Erau jocuri scolare, faza pe localitate, dar pentru elevele din clasele 5-8. Eu eram in clasa a treia, dar cand ma jucam cu verisoara mea si ne alergam vedeam ca sunt mai buna ca ea. Eram dezamagita in sinea mea ca nu pot participa. M-am dus suparata la tata si i-am spus ca alerg mai bine si ca vreau sa particip. Au facut atunci o exceptie. M-au primit si am castigat”, isi aduce aminte Denisa.
Au urmat ani cu multa munca, cu sacrificii si cu papusi abandonate prin dulapuri… La 26 de ani, colectia de rezultate este impresionanta. In urma cu doi ani, intr-un interviu pentru aimx.ro Denisa Dragomir spunea ca nu se va retrage pana nu obtine o medalie la un Campionat Mondial. O are la gat. „Acum spun ca nu ma retrag pana nu obtin titlul mondial 🙂 Cert e ca nu voi renunta prea curand. Fac lucrul asta cu placere. Ma simt implinita si fericita. Imi iau de multe ori sursa de motivatie de la medaliile mele. Cand ma voi muta, medalia de bronz va avea un loc special undeva pe perete. Si acum cand mai primesc musafiri, desi stiu ca fac sport de performanta, si observa medaliile si diplomele raman wow. Ma bucur sa vad ca munca imi este apreciata. Sunt atatia ani…14…”, declara Denisa.

„Este ca in viata. Cand dai de greu, ce faci, renunti? Nu. Trebuie sa mergi inainte. Cum, ne-cum trebuie sa mergi inainte”. E fraza rostita cu calm si convingere de Denisa. Alergatoarea de 26 de ani avea „inchis” intr-un sertar al creierului gandul ca poate lua titlul de Campioana Mondiala. A venit insa pe locul 4 la competitia gazduita de Polonia. „Anul acesta din dorinta sa fie si mai bine ca in 2017 am tras prea tare la antrenamente. La cum mi-au mers lucrurile de la inceput de an pana in luna mai, ma gandeam ca pot obtine o medalie. Speram sa pot obtine chiar titlul mondial. Concluzia insa este clara: mai trebuie sa muncesc. In 2019 revin la Mondialul de Alergare Montana pe distanta lunga, vreau sa particip la Cupa Mondiala de Sky Running si la Campionatul Mondial de Ultramaraton Montan.”
